(More customer reviews)I got these treads & a matching entry rug off eBay about a month ago and am pretty happy with both so far. I have wall to wall beige carpet (sigh) and a no-shoes-in-the-house policy, but was still struggling to keep four carpeted entryway stairs clean. I think these (and most other) stair tread protectors are intended for hardwood floors but they seem to work fine on carpet too.
They have a nice weight to them that keeps them flat and stationary, and the rubber backing hasn't caused any problems with the light colored carpet yet. The only problem is that the fabric sheds easily, so I've been getting lots of little pills (like on old sweaters) around the treads. It's still a lot easier to keep the stairs clean with these than without though, so 4 out of 5 stars.
Also, I'd recommend researching other websites to find a cheaper price...I definitely would not have paid $45 for these!

(More customer reviews)I finally broke down and decided to buy a set of pet stairs for my dog who has hip problems. I was unsure what to buy or look for and after a lot of looking I found the Heavy Duty Pet Stairs. I was worried about how durable many of the other brands were and how tall they were (my dog is 130 lbs and my bed is 40 inches tall). This was the tallest set of stairs I could find that would hold the weight of my dog. After just one day Rambo is using the stairs and he seems to be limping less.
