None of these products replace a professional cleaning and are not really meant to do huge or deeply soiled areas.. BUT this is great for spot cleaning.It has been around for quite a while and it will work if used properly. I have used it on chair arms and places where a pet has thrown up on a rug .. just two examples. The product name "dry" is a bit misleading but means you do not have to use water and does not require a special applicator or appliance. It is NOT A DRY POWDER but is somewhat moist which means you must properly apply it and break up any "balls". That process happens without much effort as you work it into the soiled area which usually just requires a small brush. As it dries, which is fairly fast, it lifts the odor and stain. You just pick it up with your regular vacuum cleaner. Depending on the type of stain it might require a second application. Re sealing the inner package also helps keep it moist until the next use. This works for what it is intended for if you take the time to use it properly.
