Molly and Friends cat furniture company makes some of the best small scratching posts. Our horizontal scratcher is just the right size for any cat to tear into. The carpet is high quality (great for scratching too), and the all natural sisal rope is heavy duty and stands up to even the most dilligent scratching. The wood post underneath the sisal is made of solid pine, so it won't bend or wobble like cardboard built scratchers. The handmade unit arrives fully assembled. It is about 22-inches long and 8-inches tall. It is meant to lay horizontally on the floor - please do not stand it upright as it could fall and injure your cat. This unit comes in a beige color.

(More customer reviews)i really like this product as do my cats. they use as a bed and scratch pad. what i like best is that it doesn't create the same mess as a typical cardboard scratcher. the material is much stronger and it doens't fall apart as easily. the only downsides- which aren't a big enough deal to not purchase it are- 1) i wish the scratch portion came in a refill so you could remove it from the bed "frame" and replace it. but i guess i will just buy an entire new one when needed. 2)- b/c if the ripple texture, there are not many places for catnip to get in there without making a mess, bc it doesn't fall in to any cracks.
