I decided to try Stain Solver and was pleasantly surprised. Since then I never wash my white or colored clothes without it! I love that in order to get my clothes cleaner I don't have to deal with the smell of bleach. It's safe to use on our dress clothes also and I don't have to check for stains. I am very happy with this product. I haven't used it for anything else yet, but am going to test it out on the bathroom floors of a business I clean :-)

(More customer reviews)This product excels at exactly what it is supposed to do. 5 years ago I remodeled (well someone did it for me) 3 bathrooms and the kitchen in my home. I had ceramic tile floors installed throughout, as well as ceramic tile countertops and backsplash. It is beautiful! Each room has a different color grout. One of the things that discouraged me tremendously RIGHT away is that the so called grout sealers really didn't do a great job at all. I tried many many different cleaners over the years without beauty as a result. Straight bleach didn't even do it! And I didn't want to end up with white grout after all, but it didn't even get the dirt out! I don't go around spraying grease on the grout or doing anything unusual - this is just normal household dirt - on the floor and the countertops.
When I heard about Stain Solver and how effective it is supposed to be, I figured it couldn't hurt to try another product - I had already re=grouted the kitchen countertops and island and I didn't want to have to do that again.
I tried the stain solver on the floor tile in the kitchen - which had suffered tremendously. I cook a lot and spill from time to time, plus the men in my family love to walk straight into the kitchen with their shoes on.
NO JOKE - after a 10 minute soak and very little scrubbing, the grout looks brand new. BRAND NEW!!!!! The color of the grout was not changed at all, it was just completely clean! It is worth it - more than that - it is a HUGE work saver and grout restorer!!!
I also used this product on the outside of my house on a vertical surface, which makes soaking a little trickier. However, by just repeatedly dabbing it on a sludgy mildew stain on the side of my house, it came off with very little scrubbing.
BUY IT!!!!! It really works!

(More customer reviews)I thought I would try this to save some money and to see if this line of household cleaning appliances would work for me. I was ready for cosmetic flaws...I mean who really cares if there is a scrape on their floor cleaner? What I was not ready for, was a unit that just looked like it was thrown in the box and had not been refurbished AT ALL. My main complaint is that the brush heads that were supplied looked like they had been cleaning someones driveway. I've used better looking brush heads on my car wheels. The bottom retension bracket for the power cord was also broken off and was loose in the box...nice work Hoover.
"Remanufactered: to refurbish (a used product) by renovating and reassembling its components", that is the definition and I feel that Hoover should have never let one of their reman products ship out without NEW brush heads. The brush head is a critical wear item it and it is ludicrous to sell this floor cleaner with the same brush it was returned with.
All that said, I give it two stars because it does work and I would buy one again...BUT ONLY NEW. Now I have to waste time trying to glue broken pieces and find a replacement brush head.

(More customer reviews)I purchased my first FloorMate when it first came out, from the Hoover web site. It lasted me 10 years and then the hose that sucks up the water cracked. I was going to order the part and fix it, but when I saw this model I just had to have it.
Like my first one it works great and is easier to clean then the first model. The idea of washing the floor with clean water and not having to keep passing a dirty mop over my floors is a wonderful concept for me. It does get the floor clean and dry with a little push and pull and with the new attachments there's nowhere it can't go.
To sum it up works great, cleans great and I wouldn't be without it.

I have natural stone so some uneven areas and I used the product with a grout brush not the Hoover Floor Mate machine which mises 90% of the grout, but does clean rest of floor very well. Grout is tricky. I recommend that you go to Home Depot/Lowes, get the grout brush, and sit on the floor and clean grout lines with this great product like a Marine. Great looking floors now. Highly recommned this product.

(More customer reviews)I bought this appliance at Target about three months ago, misunderstanding at the time what it was. When I got it home and unpacked it, I realized my mistake and *almost* took it back because I've owned steamers before and I just wasn't impressed. The literature accompanying the unit made me decide to go ahead and try it out before I decided and oh my gosh, am I glad I did.
Using nothing but water and a towel, along with your Shark steamer, you can clean anything in your house. When we bought this house back in April of 2002, there were lime stains on the pipes behind the toilets in all three bathrooms. And there were 10 years of black gunk built up under the edges of each toilet, where they connect to the floor. No matter what I tried, I could never remove all of that gunk -- you just can't get under there to do it! -- and the lime deposits wouldn't come off even with CLR and Lime Away and similar products. I am happy to report that less than 10 minutes per bathroom was all it took to totally obliterate the lime AND the gunk. Because it's steam under pressure, it can get in spots where you can't even insert a butter knife. It just blows it all out and you wipe it away!
We suffer from various allergies, and it seemed that no matter which cleaning product I used, someone's allergies were going to be aggravated -- now, I use the Shark and there's NOTHING to irritate anyone because you're not using any cleaning solvents -- just water!
You can even use it with one of the wider nozzles (it doesn't show them in the photo, but the unit is packed with several different attachments, not just the floor attachment shown) and blow dust and cobwebs off window blinds, artificial flowers, knick-knacks, and so on without damaging them. I have some suede-feeling artificial flowers that even a lint remover won't take the dust off, and my Shark steamer left them looking like they were brand new. You can clean your windows, and it's great for getting underneath and around large household appliances. The grill under the refrigerator that always looks terrible? Spotless, thanks to the Shark!
The nozzles and attachments help you get into places that normal cleaning just can't reach. My house has never been so clean, and although everyone assumes I've been spending hours and hours cleaning house, the truth is, I now spend about an hour per week maintaining it with my Shark!
I can't say enough about this unit. I highly recommend it.

Haan MS-30 Multi-Purpose Steam Cleaner Review

(More customer reviews)I have had my eye on the Ladybug steamer for months now, drooling over all it could do but it was far out of my price range. I own the Envirosteamer steam floor mop and love it, but I wanted something to get into tight spaces like around the toilet, in the tub, the oven, etc. With some Santa money I got more serious about purchasing a canister steamer in addition to my floor steamer and began some comparative testing and studying. Fortunately, I live in a neighborhood that is all "green built certified" which means, in order to have a green rating, all homes were built with no carpet and lots of people hate chemicals which means it's a neighborhood full of steam mops which makes comparing the models quite easy. That's a good thing because it just saved me over a thousand bucks because I wound up no longer wanting the Ladybug. Here's how they rate...you decide which is best for you:

Note: These temperatures are based upon using the small hose attachments. In every case that we used the long hose attachment included to turn these into a floor mop, the steam had to travel down the long hose so it cooled and wound up only being about 115 degrees by the time it reached the floor. Which results in very poor cleaning. Because of this, if you are wanting this mostly for floor steaming, I would suggest going with a steamer that shoots out hot steam directly onto the floor from its tank rather than through a long hose before reaching the floor as a canister mop does.

CLEANING:
For a controlled cleaning test, I mixed Dr. Pepper with sugar and spread it evenly across a 4' length of my stained concrete floor and kept the pets away until it dried completely in a gunky mess. I then tested each mop against it in lengthwise strips, moving them at the same pace after a full heat up, as well as testing each on its own strip of bathroom tile & grout. Here's who performed the best:
Tie: Ladybug and Vapamore. These, due to the really hot temps, loosened the gunk on impact and made it VERY easy to clean my floor. Their hot temps and heavier steam also cleaned tile the best but Vapamore actually did a BETTER job on uneven surfaces like tile with grout..but don't expect shiny white grout because it wasn't exactly returned to looking brand new either.
2nd place:Haan...but it wasn't nearly as good as the above two.
Last place: Reliable. Although the steam temp is hotter than the Haan, it doesn't shoot out as strong and only had 5 steam jets so this diminished its effectiveness Didn't come close to the V or L.
All were at temps to kill bacteria and sanitize without using chemicals such as counters and mattresses, unless you tried to turn it into a floor mop which I don't suggest because the steam was too cool to clean as well as a real floor steam mop made for that purpose..Other notes: The ladybug was the most awkward to carry. It just wasn't made for carrying up stairs, etc.Conclusion: Considering the Ladybug is over a thousand dollars more than any of the other mops, this was a real eye opener! I tested these with my friends and we all agreed, hands down, that the Vapamore was the best buy. And I love it! It cleaned the best BUT the Ladybug lasted much longer as far as cleaning time. However, Vapamore cleaned for 50 minutes prior to needing a refill which, for me, is all I need. That said, if you want to use this commercially and don't want to have to take time to refill, the Ladybug may be worth the steep price for you. Considering they have the same 3 year warranty though, I'd rather buy 4 Vapamores for the price of one Ladybug and have one in every room. I kid. The Reliable seemed to lack things that were just silly...like having a cord longer than my blow dryer and only having 5 steam jets.
