In the past, I was never able to totally remove a stain like that. One day I found it on my bedroom carpet. I sprayed it with Nil-Odor and walked away to let it work. When I came back, I couldn't find where it had been! I had not even blotted the area; it was just gone. I never let myself run out of this stuff and it has a wonderful minty smell to it. In fact, I add it to the water in my carpet cleaner and the whole house smells fresh.

Hoover SteamVac Supreme Deep Floor Cleaner Review

(More customer reviews)I don't know how Hoover is getting away with this, but this thing called a "SteamVac" is no more a steam cleaner than my Dyson vacum cleaner. This is nothing more than an old fashioned carpet shampooer. I've returned it and put a call into Hoover about the deceptive advertising. I was told if I "thought" it had steam, I should have read the box to be sure! Why would you read the outside of the box to find out if something called a SteamVac has a heating element? Wouldn't that be like going to a car lot and checking under the hoods to see if the model you want comes with an engine? Besides that I didn't have a box to read...I ordered this thru Amazon and
it came in an unmarked brown box with no writing and no pics, so even that suggestion was a bit redundant. In checking out other Hoover models called SteamVac...I am 99.9% sure NONE of them steam. I was told by a Hoover rep that the name "SteamVac" is simply a trade name! In other words being called a steam vac does not mean a thing. Like I've said I can't imagine how Hoover is getting away with this kind of deception, but I know I will never, ever, under any circumstance trust the name Hoover again.

(More customer reviews)I own a three year old Eureka Enviro Steamer that has gotten pretty worn and leaks water readily now, so I bought a big Euro-pro Steamer that I thought was way too loud for little jobs and just tried this Mini Steam Zapper today and give it two stars max.
The Zapper weighs more than 5 pounds which feels rather heavy for its size when full of water, but the water capacity is less than 10 ounces or 300 ml. That amount of water lasted less than 30 minutes and the Zapper did not even finish cleaning two small round bathroom sinks.
It is cute but ineffective, heavy, and just as noisy as the big steamer. Get the big steamer - it's replacing my old Enviro-steamer on the floors and does the little jobs better than this mini steamer. This mini steamer is not worth the price.

I paid $9 including shipment for this tiny seal, that does not fit on my tank, so I called and e-maild and finaly the seller responded with an e-mail stating I am responsible for the return label and a restocking fee !! really ?it as big as a button $4 restocking fee ?

(More customer reviews)hmm, guess I can't come up with something to compare. I just raised a puppy and have a geriatric dog. I have two cats, a husband who is just learning to wipe his feet at age 40, and live in a chronically muddy part of North America. We have only one small carpeted room in our home, but it's immediately inside the back door. We have no storage space. I'm frugal. After 3 refills of the cleaning fluid tank (and 3 'empties' of the dirty tank) my carpet is blue again and the room smells incredibly clean. I know the intent of Little Green is for spots and stairs, but I figured for a little more than the cost of renting a cleaner (plus supplies) I might get a tool I can use again and again in the ongoing fight against muddy shoes and geriatric pets. Boy, was I right. It's a great, storage friendly little carpet cleaner that's worth every penny. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars only because I wish it came with the 6 inch cleaning head in addition to the standard "tough stain tool."

(More customer reviews)I bought a new Kirby last year and it does a great job. It has such powerful suction, you can see it almost lift the carpet off the floor. With the auto drive, it is very easy to push on the carpet. You can do it with one finger. It has an attachment for just about any cleaning job you want, including shampooing your carpets.
I guess my biggest complaint is that you need to take off the front part to attach and use the hose. That is really inconvenient when wanting to get at baseboards. You either finish up vacuuming, then change the hose attachment and go around to each room again and do the baseboards. Or you have to change it while in each room and back again.
My second complaint is the weight of the machine. It's heavy for a woman to carry up and down stairs, or to use cleaning the mattress.
If you don't mind the draw backs, this machine will clean like no other and should last a lifetime with few repairs.

(More customer reviews)Enzyme cleaners are wonderful: safe to use and highly effective. Folex Carpet Cleaner is the first enzyme cleaner that I used (large white spray bottle (bigger than this) with purple ink). It worked really well and I only needed a small amount. It zapped up everything. This one seems to be a little less effective than Folex and it's a touch more expensive.
I've also used Wine Away, which seems a little stronger than this product but it is more expensive and the bottle is much smaller. Happily I've learned how to make enzyme cleaner at home so I'll buy less of it now.

HAAN DUO Steam Sweeper & Floor Sanitizer HD-50 Review

(More customer reviews)I wanted a steam cleaner that vacuumed and steam mopped, independently or simultaneously...this machine does that, but...
1. Claims to not wet floors as much as other steam mops...not true...puts down a lot of moisture...floors remain wet after steaming. I have to go over with a towel to dry...and towel is dirty every time...so, the steam may disinfect as it claims, but it just does not clean up the dirt and debris...the cleaning pads are very thin and get soiled easily unlike the Shark steam pocket mop.
2. Claims to be easy to use...not true. The cord is forever coming off the handle. If left sitting on its provided "mat" for just a moment (while moving furniture out of the way, etc) it leaks out a lot of water. It leaks out a lot of water when first plugged in and waiting for unit to heat up too.
3. Claims to vacuum....actually, it bristles up debris, but does not do a great job of that...the debris gets caught up in the front where the brush is and since the debris is wet from the steam (if steaming at the same time while vacuuming) then it will drop wet debris back on to the floor especially if bumped.
4. Claims to not use as much water as other steam models...not true, I have to fill the reservoir 3xs more compared to the Shark Steam cleaner.
5. Handle is extremely long and not adjustable...difficult to use for steaming under beds.
6. Claims "hands-free" soiled pad removal...not really. While the steam plate can be removed by foot, you still have to use your hands to pull the pad off the steam plate.
I own a Shark Steam mop and it works great, but I didn't like their steam/vacuum mop as the vacuum and steam functions cannot be used simultaneously.
Definitely returning and will go back to vacuuming with a vacuum and steam mop with the Shark floor steam mop until a better machine is discovered/created.

Haan HD-50 Duo Steam Sweeper & Floor Sanitizer Review

(More customer reviews)I'll admit I'm a person who dislikes housework with a passion--but I'm a stickler for a clean and sanitary environment. Since the kitchen and the bathrooms are the most heavily traveled and visited, I was especially drawn to the Haan Duo Steam Sweeper and Sanitizer, beacause it was able to tackle a few tasks at the same time. Originally when I had to mop the floor, I'd sweep the area, fill two buckets: one with hot water and Mr. Clean--and the other bucket with clear, cold rinse water. And then the process of trying to clean the floor would begin...
After the floor finally dried, there was always a slight disinfectant residue that felt tacky whenever I'd walk across what I thought was a clean floor.
When I opened my Haan-Duo, the first place I thought I'd try the machine was the prep area in my kitchen. Between the grease and food stains, footprints, scuff marks, and crumbs, I thought if something as simple as water/steam could clean and sanitize that
mess--then it was worth every penny.
The first pass in the prep area was absolutely amazing! Not only did the Haan-Duo pick up the things I had been able to see, but it went deeper into the floor to clean things I couldn't see. My flooring is rather old, but after one cleaning, the luster I thought was gone came right back to life. Grey tiles I thought were part of the color pattern on the floor were dazzlingly white. For the first time, in a long time, the floor looked fantastic!
I then completed the bathrooms. The grout in between the tiles was perfectly clean. I tried it on my hard wood floors--and the same consistent results made the floor look like new in minutes!
The Haan-Duo is light, compact, and it delivers every time I've used the product. My only critique of the system is that it is difficult to really get in and around the back end of the toilet area because of its width. If there were an attachment, perhaps shaped like a triangle, it would get to the hard to reach spaces without any trouble. If indeed, Haan makes a hand-held model with the varying heads, I'd purchase it in a heartbeat.
The velcro pads pick up every bit of floor residue, and then when I'm finished cleaning, I wash the pads out with gentle soap, and put them in the sun to dry.
The Haan-Duo us very eco-friendly. No more do I have to worry about allergic reactions from cleaning products. The surfaces are sanitized in a natural way--without chemicals.
It's really made my workload so much easier!
