(More customer reviews)The product is beatiful to look at. The construction seem a bit thin since all that holding it together are four screws - but, it all turns out fine. The color of the wood is really nice. I had a problem with on the two vertical pieces - one was shorter than the other which made the top uneven. I called the customer service number included on a Friday afternnoon. I had to leave my name and number - which I didn't like. Monday morning I was called back and a replacement pices was sent out. I got it a few days later.

(More customer reviews)After buying Sanus stands I was not happy yet, so I bought these. These made me happy. I could still smell the poly from the factory when I opened the box. They are nice for the money. Nothing fancy. Just simple and well made. Love the wood. Had to trim the top plate to fit speakers. Just carefully saw off any that sticks out after marking them (before attaching them to base) and sand and stain the exposed wood with oak stain. Solid.

Sanus Systems EF24 Euro Foundations (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)I'm not sure where it came from but the descirption and picture for this item are completely inaccurate. This is the reason for a one star review. Otherwise, I'd give it three stars. This item does not have a U shaped base and is not sand fillable. It is a single tube connected to a cast iron base. There are three "feet" on the cast iron base. The reason I chose this is that I was hoping for something a little more stable. I have approx. 20 lb. Ascend Sierra-1s. I'm not sure I trust this stand with those speakers. I'll keep them and use with less expensive 10-15 lb. Ascend CBM 170 "width" speakers. Here's what they really look like: Sanus Euro Foundations EF24BK 24" Speaker Stand Pair. Stands took about 5 minutes total to assemble. I didn't overtighten screws, but top plate and base are not complete tight, but it is certainly better than a wood stand. All parts (except for a cork dampening ring) are metal.

(More customer reviews)To be fair this stand once put together is solid and works well as a support. I had high expectations for this stand and it was not quite as nice as I hoped it would be. I guess for the price it's ok (made in China). Also depends upon taste. Wood is nice. Base is big and black. Flimsy pieces of black plastic are difficult to bend and snap into place to form a cover on the back to hide wires. You dont see this in the pictures. Also, be careful when ordering. The add is ambiguously written. "One" means a pair of them, no matter how it sounds. I now own four when I wanted two. I'm using them for back speakers and ordered a smaller pair of oak stands from an American manufacturer for the front. They are cheaper, nicer, shorter and better. Made in USA. For sale at Amazon, just look.

Rubber pads for tile floor or spikes for carpet, also selection of brackets for all speaker sizes. Hides wires and price is right. I will never have to buy another speaker stand again even if I upgrade my system or speakers! Great purchase! Don't be fooled by low price leader... look at shipping cost.
