Sanus also went the extra mile for me. I bought the product through Amazon from TheFactoryDepot. It arrived in a beat-up box that clearly had been opened and sloppily resealed. When I opened it, the two pillars were missing and so was useless. When I contacted them through Amazon, TheFactoryDepot said that it couldn't do anything for me and gave me a number to call at Sanus. Sanus informed me that TheFactoryDepot was not an authorized seller, that it had obtained the stands from somewhere else, and that it had just shipped me a box of incomplete parts. Apparently this was not the first time this problem had occurred. In spite of the fact that it was really under no obligation to do so, Sanus agreed to ship me the necessary replacement parts for free, which arrived some days later. Kudos for Sanus; shame on TheFactoryDepot

(More customer reviews)These stands are specifically matched to integrate with the Polk VM20 speakers and do the job perfectly. If you don't have the table space (there is a small table base available also) or want to hang them on the wall (yes, a wall mount is included with the speakers), these stands are the solution. They match and fit the speakers perfectly and are finished in the same black luster surface, sitting on a smoked glass base. The base is supplied with feet for hard surfaces or spikes for carpet to keep them in place. I have them next to my Pioneer Elite 60" Plasma, which is also lustre black, so the look is terrific.
They look great, are reasonably small profile so as not to detract from the room (spouse acceptance factor) and also contain a hidden channel to run the cable down to the floor. Personally, as nicely as they are done, I think they are still just a tad pricey. But generally worth it and much better than the cheap after market brands like Sanus that you can find at Best Buy. In the end, you get what you pay for.

(More customer reviews)After buying Sanus stands I was not happy yet, so I bought these. These made me happy. I could still smell the poly from the factory when I opened the box. They are nice for the money. Nothing fancy. Just simple and well made. Love the wood. Had to trim the top plate to fit speakers. Just carefully saw off any that sticks out after marking them (before attaching them to base) and sand and stain the exposed wood with oak stain. Solid.

(More customer reviews)I was very pleased with this product. The purchase comes with two stands. The stands were easy to assemble. The stands are pressboard wood. They are solid and the paint on them hasn't chipped or flaked, except for one place...read on to find out. I have fairly large speakers and the stands support them well.
The only thing I didn't like very much was the way the wire cover was implemented on the back of the stand. You get two pieces of flat, semi-flexible plastic that you insert into two slots cut on the back of the stand. You have to bend the plastic into a half pipe and then slide them down the base of the stand while keeping the plastic half pipe in the slot. It took a couple of tries to get the plastic pieces to bend and then slide into the slots that retain them. I nicked the top of the wood at the top and it chipped a bit of the paint off. However, once I figured it out and got them in it looks pretty good.
Effective and attractive.

(More customer reviews)To be fair this stand once put together is solid and works well as a support. I had high expectations for this stand and it was not quite as nice as I hoped it would be. I guess for the price it's ok (made in China). Also depends upon taste. Wood is nice. Base is big and black. Flimsy pieces of black plastic are difficult to bend and snap into place to form a cover on the back to hide wires. You dont see this in the pictures. Also, be careful when ordering. The add is ambiguously written. "One" means a pair of them, no matter how it sounds. I now own four when I wanted two. I'm using them for back speakers and ordered a smaller pair of oak stands from an American manufacturer for the front. They are cheaper, nicer, shorter and better. Made in USA. For sale at Amazon, just look.

Rubber pads for tile floor or spikes for carpet, also selection of brackets for all speaker sizes. Hides wires and price is right. I will never have to buy another speaker stand again even if I upgrade my system or speakers! Great purchase! Don't be fooled by low price leader... look at shipping cost. I purchased mine from Amazon with a zero SUPER SAVER shipping. Do the math first. Stop shopping the SANUS HF1B is perfect for the audio consious!

Monster THX SL-STAND 100 BK Select Certified Speaker Stands (Piano Black) Review

(More customer reviews)I bought these stands with my employee discount at work for a few reasons;
1) I wanted attractive stands and most of the others I could find were either ugly or flimsy, these were neither
2) I needed fillable (weight-able) stands because of their positioning being close to the doorway
3) Hollow central column allows for damping material to be added as well as weights, reducing acoustic presence
So overall I do really like these stands, they look great, support my big B&W 601s, and as I stated, can be weighted down for stability. I did, however, have a few issues with the stands on setup;
1) The thread path for one of the top plate attachment bolts was partially stripped, making the setup a bit slower than it should be
2) The bolts that attach the top and bottom plates to the center column use very tightly spaced, small threads, and they are very cumbersome to screw in with the supplied wrench.
My only other complaint is the price really, for a fraction of the price of these, you could get some nice Sanus stands (if they fit the style you're looking for). One other thing I should point out as it's not overly obvious is that the center column is a matte finish black, the top and bottom plates are the piano finish.
