(More customer reviews)Works fine on wood. I cut it up and used some for a runner on our dining room table and some placemats we have on our coffee table since our cats jump up there. The runner & placemats used to slide across the table with our cats on top. Problem solved with the mats underneath. Tried to use some under throw rugs we have on our berber carpet, but it didn't really help there.

I cut it about 1/2 inch shorter so the edges of my rug would lay flat on the floor and no one would trip. It also stopped my rug from sliding all over the place.

(More customer reviews)Not much to say. Was worth the buy. Was worried it would be too thin, but it wasn't. Sticks to my wood floor well. On top of my rug, i have a large, heavy audimen (sp?). The pad keeps the rug in place even when moving the audimen. Works great.

(More customer reviews)Not much to say, except that it performs as expected. It sticks to the runner and the hardwood floor and keeps everything in place. My runner is a little smaller than 2' x 8', and the pad is easy to trim with regular scissors. It also makes the runner noticeably more cushiony. If I had another rug, I would definitely buy another Vantage rug pad again.

Premium-Hold Rug Pad - For Rug-To-Carpet - Extends Rug Life Review

(More customer reviews)I've been waiting a bit to review this product as I wanted to comment on the longevity of hold. I have now had these rug pads for 3-months and they are beginning to lose their tackiness, resulting in movement/bunching of the rugs but nowhere nearly as severe as they would be without the pads. I have two large 8'x10' area rugs on top of these pads. The rugs and pads sit on top of a very heavy face-weight Berber carpeting (rug-to-carpet installation).
These rug pads feel like very light felt with spray on 3M adhesive. When I initially installed them, they held very well on the carpet. The pads needed to be trimmed to size which wasn't a problem for me with a helper. Over the course of a few months, the pads start losing their tackiness and they won't hold like they originally did.
I'm still on a hunt for a different style foam rug pad that works for rug-to-carpet installation and doesn't cost a fortune.
*1-Year UPDATE*: I am still using these pads, I have never lifted them up until this past weekend during a living room rearrangement. I rotated the area rug 90 degrees to optimally cover our new living room layout. Lo and behold, the carpet where the pads were holding the rugs have a tackiness as if some of the adhesive has transferred. Now when you walk on our living room carpet, your socks stick. Therefore, I am downgrading this review from 3*'s to 2*'s (Below Average).
