(More customer reviews)I first tried Swiffer wet jet over a year ago and ever since I've been hooked. The Swiffer Wet Jet works really well for picking up dirt and cleaning up spills.

The microfiber cleaning surface readily picks up dirt and dust.

I once had an absolutely catastrophic spill in my bathroom that I had to clean up with my Swiffer Wet Jet and I was surprised how much water the Swiffer soaked up. Don't underestimate these plain-looking pads - locked inside the pads is are tiny polymer beads that, when wet, turn gelatinous and expand to many times their original size. These pads can soak up more water than you might think!
The sticky, smeary residue that someone mentioned is the gelatinous substance from a ruptured cleaning pad. Under normal circumstances, the Swiffer WebJet Cleaning Pads should not leave a residue on your floor.

1) You can use the dry dust cloths -OR- the wet cleansing cloths with this broom / mop.
2) The mop head pivots 180 degrees, allowing you to get under objects like your couch, and also for easy storage
3) The dust cloths pick up EVERYTHING, including dust you couldn't even see.
4) The cloths are easy to attach and detach and stay firmly attached while in use.
5) Nice price for a nice product (that dusts AND mops your floor, I might add).
Cons:
1) Both the dry and wet cloths are only semi-effective on gritty or rough surfaces. Example: in the winter, my front hall gets messy with sand and grit from the front sidewalk - it needs to be swept before I mop, or the Swiffer ends up scraping all that junk across my tiles. Not really a con per se, as long as you're aware of it in advance.
Swiffer products have made a big difference in the amount of time it takes me to dust my house and the effectiveness of the job I do. Like the other reviewer, we have pets, and we need to dust and de-fur our home more often than other people do. Being able to do it quickly, effectively and easily is important. This product enables me to do just that.

The original Swiffer cloth with deep Lift and Lock Pockets, picks up more of the dust, dirt, hair, and common allergens than traditional methods. By simply attaching the dry, electrostatic cloths to the Swiffer sweeper, household soil is history, even in the hard-to-reach places. Swiffer cloths are also good for hand dusting. When you're done, just throw the cloths and all that dirt away.

(More customer reviews)This product was 3.5 stars, until I realized I don't have to use only their cleaning solution and pads! Now this product is awesome!!! It has always worked better than a mop, of course. But now it works better than it did originally!
#1- I bought a better, reusable, cleaning pad (from my local grocery store) that sticks to the wet jet. The pad is more absorbable, so it doesn't leave a layer of dried solution all over the floors.
#2- The cleaning bottle of solution that "can't be opened" actually can be! All you need is a pair of pliers and the top screws right off. Put your favorite/cheaper cleaning solution inside and the top screws right back on.
