(More customer reviews)I cannot even begin to tell you the number of vacuum cleaners I have had over the years. I take in abandoned an abused animals.
Usually within 6 months the motor would go out. I have a Oreck and a Fantom Thunder. The Oreck worked great for awhile but the motor did go out and had to be replaced. I didn't like the fact it had no on board tools and the bags are expensive and hard to find. The Fanton is heavy and it started leaking dust around the dust cup. Both of these vacuum cost amost $400.00 at the time I purchased them.
After some research I purchased this Dyson. I am so glad I did.
This vacuum is a pet lovers dream. Before I used the Dyson for the first time, I vacuumed my carpet in my family room several times with 2 other vacuums, then I went back over it with the Dyson. I expected a little more pet hair after all it was a new vacuum, but it is what else I get that shocked and embarrassed me. In the vacuum cup there was a little pet hair but there was also this ultra fine dirt, it almost looked like powder. There was so much of this dust I decided to put it in a bag and weigh it. The embarrasing part is it weighed 4#, I couldn't believe it. You must understand I vacuum twice a day everyday and I shampoo my carpets once a month. I take pride in the fact my house has no pet odors, I work hard to make sure of this. But, all this was in my carpet. After I finished vacuuming my carpet look renewed like it was freshly shampooed.
I love this vacuum and wish I would have purchased it sooner. It is well worth every penny and then some. If has every attachment you could ever want. It took a little time to figure out how to attach them but once I did it was wonderful. The powerhead upholstery tool is fabulous.
Take if from the queen of vacuum cleaners, this is the one to buy.

(More customer reviews)I bought this product from drugstore.com because they sell just a bottle. I wouldn't want to buy a whole case unless I know that it really works. I went through my first bottle very quickly and not all that impressed. I was trying to eliminate our dog's urine odor, but it took awhile to work, but the stain was gone right away. The odor slowly went away, too. I had to re-apply to remove the odor. I'm low on my second bottle now, and considering to order a dozen.

(More customer reviews)I don't normally take the time to write reviews on my purchases...but I have to share that Mrs. Meyer's Products are truly amazing. I have tried alot of things, especially in the avenue of natural products, and these are by far the best and most effective...not to mention the frangrance is OUT OF THIS WORLD! I get compliments all the time that my house smalls clean and fresh (not chemically clean!) and that is saying alot since I have 3 active kids running around constantly determined to dirty-up the place, and smelly diapers galore! I am no cleaning maniac, thankfully so! But I do enjoy the calm and clarity of a clean home...and I get all that from these products.
I must confess, that this all-purpose cleaner takes the place of the Counter top cleaner and the Carpet Cleaner. (don't let Mrs. Meyer know I said that!) I have tried both of those and found that this one is merely the same thing...maybe just more concentrated/or diluted. I do like the spray bottles from the Counter top cleaners....but I easily refill that bottle with this All-Purpose cleaner, add alittle water and you're all set!
I also found that adding this cleaner to my steam cleaner is just wonderful. Works so well, and my carpet smells like heaven for days.
I can easily clean showers, tubs, tile, carpet, walls, counters, floors, toilets (I use the Meyers Scrub powder) and everything.....they really mean All-Purpose, indeed!
I have to also say that I enjoy the Lavender variety and the Lemon Verbena as well......but this Geranium is the BEST!!

It's hard-working, concentrated and an all around generalist. Our cleaner is good for just about everything. Use 1/4 cup in 1 gallon warm water or 2 tablespoons plus water to refil the Counter-Top Spray.

Dutch Rubber Broom (Large) w/ Telescoping Handle Review

(More customer reviews)I normally avoid any infomercial-type products like the plague, but I decided to try this broom out after hearing it praised so highly in Ellen Sandbeck's book Organic Housekeeping: In Which the Non-Toxic Avenger Shows You How to Improve Your Health and That of Your Family, While You Save Time, Money, and, Perhaps, Your Sanity. Well, color me impressed!
The broom has quite a large head and a telescoping handle, which extends quite a ways at its full length and is very compact at its shortest length. In fact, one of my few complaints is that the head may be a tiny bit TOO large for my taste -- a slightly smaller model may work better in the kitchen, with this size suited a bit more to the basement or outdoor tasks. The telescoping handle is nice; you just twist to tighten or release it. I do find that if I'm not careful when I'm sweeping, I'll inadvertently grab the twisty part (that's the technical term for it!) and collapse the handle.
Sweeping with this broom is AWESOME! Well, as awesome as sweeping can be ... One problem I always had with a regular broom is that dog hair would go floating merrily across the floor, making it tough to get every last bit. But with the rubber broom, the hair tends to clump up in a neat little pile. The broom also works well on my rugs -- handy when I went to get the pet hair off them but don't feel like dragging out the vacuum.
I've also used the broom to mop, with great results. I had been using a Swiffer Wet Jet, with pretty good results, but the refills get pricey, and I felt bad about the amount of waste I was creating. Now I just use a couple rubber bands to attach an old, damp hand towel to the rubber broom. It works great, and the best part is that it's easy to take off the towel and put a fresh one on, so you're not just spreading dirt all over the floor. I also find that the rubber broom/towel combo seems to get the floor a bit cleaner than the smoother Swiffer pads -- very handy when you have a large dog and a toddler who loves to throw food. (Bonus -- I mop more frequently now, since I don't worry about "wasting" my Swiffer pads!)
