My cat spends about 20 minutes a day happily scratching the post, gradually buffing her nails, and enjoying the cat-nip.
I had to lie the scratching post on the ground initially, because otherwise my cat ignored it and/or thought it was some sort of human interior decor. Now that she knows it's for her, and it's filled with cat-nip, she makes regular visits to the scratching post every day... AND NONE OF OUR FURNITURE OR WALL-PAPER HAS BEEN TOUCHED SINCE THIS PRODUCT ARRIVED.
