(More customer reviews)I had a really hard time finding grey carpet treads, so when I found these, I ordered them immediately! It was also hard to find treads that included the adhesive tape specifically for installing carpet. That being said, there were no instructions to show where the tape should be applied, how much tape to use, or if the stair treads should be prepped for the installation. A little instruction goes a long way.
Here's my instructions:
Clean the steps thoroughly to remove all dirt residue, especially on the back edge of the tread where it meets the riser.
Apply the tape in a double border around the entire perimeter of the carpet tread and add another strip down the center.
Once you stick the carpet down, stand on it and wiggle it around a bit for complete adhesion.
