(More customer reviews)Surprisingly yes! I suppose because its 20% cotton that may help, but this rug feels great under your feet. Its sturdy, fashionable and feels good. Its a shag rug as advertised so expect thick strands (my girlfriend says they looks like worms, but I love them) and the pictures provided here are fairly accurate of what it looks like on your floor. For the price, this is a quality rug.

The best materials are used to make our rugs including 100% cotton (chindi) rags; expensive European dyes; high-grade cotton warp thread. The rags are triple washed after dyeing to prevent color transfer. Prairie rugs are machine washable in cold water. They can also be dry cleaned. Typical cotton rugs are often made with low grades of cotton, printed cloth or cotton blends. The low grade warp thread means the rug may only last for a few seasons. The rug IS beautiful and feels as though it is good quality. NOPE!!!! It has been shedding since the day I purchased it. My husband and I have tried everything from vacuuming to beating it outside! No luck. Pieces of this rug were constantly all over our home and guests who wore black socks got the joy of leaving our home with chunks of it on their socks when the walked on it. I gave it one star only because it LOOKS lovely. The stupid rug is now rolled up and out by the garbage can. We did not even want to give it away and have someone else deal with this. VERY DISSAPOINTED!!!! BOO HISSSSSSSS.

Now that I'm looking at the picture of the rug, it doesn't look nearly as nice as the picture, color wise.
