(More customer reviews)I have two ways of getting pet stain out of carpet and this is one of them. It even works on that awful yellow bile stain when your pet gets sick. In the past, I was never able to totally remove a stain like that. One day I found it on my bedroom carpet. I sprayed it with Nil-Odor and walked away to let it work. When I came back, I couldn't find where it had been! I had not even blotted the area; it was just gone. I never let myself run out of this stuff and it has a wonderful minty smell to it. In fact, I add it to the water in my carpet cleaner and the whole house smells fresh.

Dilution is a very important step for total urine removal. Apply a liberal amount of Enzyme Odor & Stain Remover to affected area and allow to stand. Fold a towel and lay it on the treated area and allow to dry. Once dried, if stain and odor remains, repeat the above procedure.

I tried several treatments of this product on that spot, and even resorted to dumping the whole gallon into the corner. The only thing that happened was my whole apartment smelled like minty cat pee. I don't know if this product might be more useful in smaller accidents, but it certainly did nothing for my problem. I found that using vinegar followed by A LOT of hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, and a few drops of dish soap does a fantastic job. This still took a few treatments and a week worth of re-soaking the carpet, but every time I did it I could tell the smell was lessening. The smell is finally gone after all of that work - it is easy to find others online who had the same success with cheap household products. You don't have to waste your money!

It doesn't prevent a cat from restaining the same area, so a smell may still remain. The only drawback is the delivery system of this product. It comes with a bottle of neutralizer, and 30 packets. You mix 2 packets and 60 ml of the neutralizer in a bottle and apply to the stain. You then have to throw away any remaining product. It's a lot of work to do, but worth it if you want to get rid of pet stain smells.

Our carpet is olefin, and not supposed to stain. This spray not only smells great and removes odor, but it removed two year old stains from vomit after a pet's battle with cancer. It even worked through the multitude of solutions I had tried on the same places in the carpet, even after Stanley Steemer tried twice. The loss of the pet was horrific and the stains were a constant reminder. I cannot say how it would work on nylon carpet, but I do highly recommend trying it.

(More customer reviews)It's important to thoroughly soak the area in order to remove the odor to avoid a repeat performance and occasionally you may have to repeat the process, but when the area is completely dry, the odor will definitely be gone. This product also works extremely well on stains -- all stains. I've been able to remove old set in stains on carpet and clothes and always take a small amount with me in a tiny travel bottle to remove any stains from clothes from food or drink spills. I've also found that by adding it to my washing machine along with detergent, my laundry comes out virtually stain free.

I do not own a pet, but have a 9yr old who recently developed a bed wetting habit and who often falls asleep on the sofa...which of course does not have removable cushions or covers that can be washed. I had tried everything..including small shampooers..but nothing was really able to get that tell-tell odor of urine out of the cushions, and even used bleach based cleaners on the mattress, which also left a faint urine smell behind. However, this took care of everything...almost immediately! It has a very pleasant, light aroma, and a little goes a long way. I have treated both the sofa and her bed completely, and have used only about 1/5 of the bottle. Within a few hours the urine smell was gone..and now I can have company over again without the worry :)
