I had no idea how much he did it until I used the blacklight! He practically painted the walls in one room. Gross! One day, while he was out, we used the blacklight to find the marks and stink free to clean them. Under the blacklight, the urine shows up neon yellow. With one wipe, it erased the yellow, until the walls were all back to normal. When he came back in, he looked really confused as he sniffed around trying to find where he marked. It seemed as if he did not even recognize the house! Since then, he has not sprayed one time inside the house and that was over a year ago. THIS STUFF WORKS! Simply amazing!!!

In the past, I was never able to totally remove a stain like that. One day I found it on my bedroom carpet. I sprayed it with Nil-Odor and walked away to let it work. When I came back, I couldn't find where it had been! I had not even blotted the area; it was just gone. I never let myself run out of this stuff and it has a wonderful minty smell to it. (More customer reviews)Of course, this is the kind of product you're slightly embarassed to admit you need, but if you have cat(s) you inevitably will.
This product does take care of odor and works really well on carpets. Contrary to the manufacturer's claim, it will not reverse cat pee damage to fabric and wood (the bleach and dye effect), but we all knew that was too good to be true, didn't we?
We've found that if you saturate the area, let it dry for a LONG time--like several days--treat it again, and then clean the carpet, it does remove the (ahem) evidence. In our house it seems to remove all of it, but we're not unusually sensitive. I suppose if you're really nose-conscious, you wouldn't have cats in the first place.
I recommend buying it in gallons, because it takes a lot of product to treat an area. I also recommend buying a small pump sprayer (ACE Hardware, about seven dollars), because a spray bottle neither covers evenly, nor holds enough.
I wish I could train the cats to do it themselves.

I used a black light to locate the urine stains,treated them with the product, put plastic over the saturated carpet for 12 hours to allow the product to absorb and activate, allowed the carpet to dry and retreated it. The smell initially worsened which I read online is normal, it is an indication that the product should be working, well it has been 4 weeks since I have completed the treatment and the smell is still lingering.

It will neutralize the animal odors in those corners your male cat focuses on. It also removes the major stains you have on carpet. Just spray it on, rub it in gently (for those bad stains) and then it's clean. Or you may have to do it twice if needed. It's just amazing that it cleans up dark stains on light carpet like I have. One thing I have to say is WASH YOUR HANDS afterwards or the enzymes start going after your fingers from rubbing it in the carpet. Although my daughter said she doesn't have that problem. But really, it's great stuff and I think it's what you've been looking for.

(More customer reviews)I purchased Anti-Icky-Poo and P-Bath to remove the stench of cat urine from a winter coat, as well as to clean up 'accidents' on a hard wood floor. The AIP was heavily perfumed, I thought I was getting the supposedly better and stronger unscented version, but apparently not. The treatment seemed to work fairly well on the hard surfaces. All I could smell after treating was the perfume from the AIP. It either neutralized the cat urine smell or the perfume kept the cats from going back and re-marking.
However, the AIP and P-Bath did nothing at all to remove the stench from the winter coat. I completely saturated the coat (following the package instructions), in a much larger area than the urine stain/smell/etc, until it was totally soaked through and dripping. The coat was treated three or four times over the course of a month and still reeks as badly of cat urine today as it did when I started, only now it also stinks of AIP perfume too. In AIP's defense, none of the other three products I purchased after the AIP to treat the coat seemed to make much impact either, though all did work just as well on hard surfaces.
Overall, I'd say AIP is ok for pet odors that are mild or on hard surfaces (it worked pretty well on the litterbox too) but I don't see it working any better than the other natural/enzymatic/peroxide based cleaners that you can purchase from the local pet store for half the price.

I foster cats/kittens and have up to 20 animals in my home/garage at one time. I keep everything spotless but because of new animals, etc. there are a few that have been marking for a long time. I purchased at least 8 gallons of this product and used it exactly as prescribed. I have wood floors and you can only saturate so much without ruining them (I probably did in a few areas!). It never stopped them from returning to that area. I even used this product in conjunction with Feliway, as suggested. Nothing worked. When I contacted the company regarding my dilemma they said they could not help me because I purchased the product from a company other than themselves. I would always search for the best price considering I was purchasing so much! There was a $20.00 difference per gallon in some instances. I can say that the product smells nice! Other than that, it did not work for me and there was no help from the company once I had a problem with it. So much for their money-back guarantee!! I think they need to add a disclaimer where people can see it, that the product must be purchased from the manufacturer to be guaranteed. Since then I have tried Eco-88 which seems to work as well or better than anything else I have tried.

(More customer reviews)After using this product completely as directed, I found that it did remove the odor after several applications, however not as well as it claims. It has not detoured or discouraged my feline friend from going back to the same exact spot and re-soiling. Maybe I need to try the gallon size? The space only required a quart as recommended by the company as it was rather small spot. So I don't know if even a gallon would work any better? My advice: If it is a a rather large area or not, get the Gallon size! I really don't think this product is worth the money and hype. There are several other products on the market that do the same thing as this one does and work better without the hassel of several steps and are cheaper. An example is a product called Stink Free. You can find this product at any pet store and it is much cheaper with less the work. I think Anti Icky Poo would work well for other stains, but as far as urine stains.... it is not what it's all hyped to be!

Last Friday Tazz (our male cat) was attacked in our yard by a loose dog, needless to say I rushed him to the hospital Friday afternoon and upon the initial examination, the vet did not find any external damage. The next day I gave Tazz a bath because he was covered in urine from the attack and that is when I noticed a lump on his right rear hip. I took him to another emergency hospital at which they did an ultra sound of his hip and found he has a hematoma / fluid in his hip.
The vet gave me some anti-inflammatory liquid to give him but he is still in pain and you can see it when he tries to jump or climb. In addition, his whole demeanor has changed to being scared of the slightest noise or movement. He hides frequently and does not talk / meow anymore.
My Veterinarian recommended Feliaway Spray, which the Veterinarian said, would help with his anxiety in addition to helping him heal from the emotional trauma of the attack. I received the Feliaway today in the mail and after spraying it on a couple of places where Tazz frequents, I must say his attitude is very much improved. I would HIGHLY recommend this product even though it is a bit pricey it just takes a WEE BIT for it to have an effect. Call it aromatherapy for cats, whatever the case if can help a cat after a dog attack then I say it's a product that deserves high marks.

We had to call the product's customer support for extra assistance, because one spot was extra stubborn. They were *very* informative and helpful. The advice they gave was to deep-treat it by first applying the solution as directed then putting a wet towel and a plastic bucket over the area to keep it working and not dry out for about a week. We did that and the smell was ABSOLUTELY gone after trying for six months previously. I am now a lifelong fan & if the problem ever occurs again, I now know exactly what to do.

(More customer reviews)I really didn't want this to work so I could get brand new carpet under the manufacturers warranty. The first time I used it I didn't think it worked...I got it off ebay and the sprayer was a joke so I had to get a new bottle. I thought this left grease looking stains on the carpet and I called the Co. Mister Max and they said that's never happen in all the years they've been making this. So, I got a really good spray bottle and mixed it with a little water. Sprayed it on all the spots and in the morning I had my husband walk in the room (which he is normally bowled over with the cat pee smell and fusses about it) and I asked "well, does it smell?" and he said wow no it doesn't, laid on the floor and said " what did you do?!?!"
I spent so much on feliway diffusers and I think that's a waste of money for my cats and I will have to keep up with the comfort zone spray (that's the only thing that works) and the anti icky poo because it totally takes away the smell! Use a black light when you're doing the treatment.
